IOM response to the sudden displacement from west of Hama towns
On March 24, 2017, IOM started to response to the sudden displacement from Mhardeh and Sqilbieh Towns/west of Hama city, IDPS are heading to Rural Homs, Tartous, and Lattakia.
IOM team in Tartous has reached advent point in Mashta Al-Hilo (700 families) and distributed 3,500 essential non-food items in coordination with partners (GOPA) to 500 households (other UN, international partners and SARC are on ground as well).
IOM timely response is made possible through the generous contribution of the Government of Japan, the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) and the office of U.S foreign disaster assistance.
